France completed the four semi finalists yesterday by beating Iceland 5-2. That was the only match in the competition so far that produced more than 6 goals. From the fixtures, I do not see a repeat of yesterday goals galore.

The fixtures will ensure that either the hosts or the reigning world champions do not feature in the finals. The Germany vs France match is the biggest so far, seconded by the Germany Italy and Italy vs Spain matches. Italy made their mark but now Germany, the well oiled machine having won the world cup seem to be in the Euros to stamp their authority in the world football. Who knows! The higher probability so far is that the winner between Germany and France will win the EURO 2016, but that does not go without saying that Portugal or Wales will not give it a good fight. Chances though lie with the lesser team in Wales to qualify for the finals.
The two day rest to the first semi final between Portugal and Wales proves to be a difficult one. Wales have scored 10 goals in five matches as compared to Portugal's 6 and in terms of conceding Wales have conceded 4 as compared to Portugal's 5 goals.
The Germany France match is difficult too. Germany have scored 7 goals so far while France have scored 11 goals. They have conceded 1 goal and 4 goals respectively.

FRANCE VS ICELAND

Due to technical difficulties, this edition could not have come earlier. Apologies.
Yesterdays game between Germany and Italy was entertaining and difficult to win. It made sense being decided by penalties. Unluckily, the Italians went home after a worthy fight. A laud of applause to them because they staged a performance that did not match their image. People had said that it was the weakest Italian team to ever be in a competition, but to their surprise, they proved to be a force to reckon with, having beaten Belgium, Spain and gave the world champions, Germans, the star studded side a very difficult time for 120 minutes. Now Antonio Conte heads to the English Premiere League. The Italians will live to always miss you Conte and good luck to you in your new Stamford Bridge role.
