LEICESTER CITY'S PERFORMANCE IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

The English Premiere League Season 2015/2016 has entered Leicester City Football Club in the books of History. They are a team that in the previous season, 2014/2015 were fighting relegation but came up to win the league title under the management of the Italian coach, Claudio Ranieri. That gives them an automatic ticket to compete in the Champions league. It is Europe's biggest cup competition because only league champions and potential champions can participate in. Being their first time to be in the competition, most soccer supporters are looking forward for a dismal performance by Leicester City.

The reason behind their thinking is that after the good performances by its players, the team is going

to have a difficult time keeping their best and will be forced to buy others in a view to replace the out going ones, who have absolutely been offered finger licking contracts by bigger clubs. One of Leicester city's strongs lied in the midfield area, where defending midfielder Ngolo Kante the french man did a wonderful job. The guy is currently heavily linked with Chelsea FC who are willing to triple his weekly wages. Their attack, led by Jamie Verdy was another strong for Leicester. Verdy is being linked with Arsenal at the moment. Other clubs are willing to buy him too and are many of its first eleven. 

Will Leicester really do well in the champions League? I don't think so. Come next season, Claudio Ranieri will be parading an almost different team to the one he won the EPL with. The team will obviously be lacking the fluidity and consistency of play. One may argue differently with the view that Claudio had not managed the team before, and that he came and won the title with them instantly. That's fine, but, their performance last season gave every premier league team a wake up call. Teams participating in the champions league are also in the know that Leicester did a trick not seen before and their participation in the champions league proves that they can do something that's unthinkable. 

It might come as a surprise that Leicester may win the Champions League! May be they may do the same thing they did in the EPL last term! They might win a treble and in the minimum a double! 

Under no circumstances can the above hallucinating statements be true. My prediction is that Leicester city will fall in the group stages. They might not even boast of a point in the competition. This remains my stand until I see Leicester busy in the transfer window, buying players with a purpose of defending the title next season as well as advancing in the champions league stages or even winning it.

JEF UTD vs MONTEDIO

These are two teams that have recorded exactly the same performance in their last five matches. They have both won two and drawn three, accumulating 9/15 points each. They have lost 3 consecutive matches, won 1 and drawn 1 collecting a total of 4/15 points. Their head to head meetings sees Tokyo Verdy winning three and Gifu 2. Recently though, Tokyo Verdy has won the meetings both home and away. A goal tally sees Tokyo verdy scoring two goals at home and conceding 5, but four are all from one team, Matsumoto. Gifu on the other hand has conceded three goals while playing away.

Verdict is that Tokyo Verdy's record against Gifu might favor them, considering Gifu are on a three match loosing spree, even though it will not be very easy for them.

A home goal tally has Matsumoto scoring 3 times in three matches and conceding 1 in the process. Consadole on the other hand has scored three goals in three away matches and conceded non.

Verdict is that this match will not be easy for any team to win, but one of the two will win it narrowly.

Verdict is that due to Kumamoto's recent form, they are poised to loose this match. However, playing at home, they might put up a good fight and force a draw.

Last season Real Madrid fired their manager Raphael Benitez and went for their previous player come football director and former Real Madrid Castila manager, Zenedine Zidane. He did a very good job in guiding the club to the second place in the La Liga and won the Champions League, earning a place in the list of individuals who have won the trophy as both players and managers. In the coming season, Zenedine Zidane wants to make changes to his squad in a view to making it function according to his tactics. It has been evident though that the club has not been displaying the kind of football expected by its supporters. Having played during the era that Real Madrid used to play entertaining and purposeful kind of football, it is highly thought that Zizu will want to introduce the same kind of football, competing with Barcelona's tiki taka kind of play.

Barcelona. for some time now have been known for their good tiki taka kind of football. They have made it a club's philosophy to employ managers who are conversant to the play. Their player recruitment is conducted selectively to ensure that tiki taka is maintained and displayed in the pitch. The coming season will be a tough one seeing that Real Madrid is beginning to improve and are looking forward to bolstering their squad in a view to becoming major challengers for the title. They were lucky to win the La Liga this season by a point. They have been beaten by both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid this past season.

Atletico Madrid pulled a shocker when they won the La Liga. Guided by Diego Simeone, the team has massively improved and are among the most dangerous sides any team can play against. They have in the recent times managed to play in the Champions League finals against their city and derby rivals, In both finals, they drew and were beaten by Real Madrid by penalties. It is true to say that Diego and his team are expected to soon play another final if their quality is to go by.

The coming 2016/2017 season is going to be tough. The trio, the bulls of the La Liga are expected to be tougher because they are all looking forward to bolstering their squads and each team wants to win a trophy. It is expected that the teams will splash out millions of Euros in order to have squads good enough to compete next season La Liga and Champions League.

DENMARK vs BULGARIA 

Denmark has been struggling because they have only managed to register 1 win in their last five, drawing 2 and loosing 2. In all of them, they conceded 8 goals, scored 7 goals, and collected 5/15 points. Their rivals, Bulgaria have been good, loosing 2, drawing none and winning 3. They conceded 7 goals all against Japan  and scored 7 goals, and have collected 9/15 points. Australia has been registering good results and I can say that they have been consistent in their display, winning 4/5 matches and loosing only once. 12/15 points is an excellent performance any day but some would argue that Australia has been meeting poor sides because the only time they met a stronger side they lost to England. They have scored 18 times and conceded 3 goals in their last five matches. Greece on the other hand have been a shadow of themselves since the time they won the Euro cup. They have only won once and lost four times in their last five, scoring four times and conceding five times. Their head to head statistics shows that Australia has emerged victorious in 2/2 all narrowly won.

Verdict is that despite Greece's dismal display and performance, they will give Australia a hard time.

WILL KLOPP BE A FLOP NEXT SEASON?

Jurgen Klopp made a name for himself and entered in the list of the best managers in the world during his time at Borussia Dortmund. While there, he managed to win the Bundesliga and reached advanced stages in the champions league. He is a fighter, a tough man who demands the best from his players. Just like any other manager's dream, a move to the English Premiere League was inevitable considering his record as manager. He, at first was linked with Chelsea Fc and at some point journalists recommended him to replace Arsen Wenger, That was not to be.

When Brendan Rogers went through a dark period with his squad, Jurgen was called to come and do his magic at Liverpool. Some doubted his move and even questioned it considering he was not managing at the time. He had taken a break after a disastrous but recovered season with the Germans. There was not so much he could do because he couldn't secure a champions league spot for the reds, even though he managed to reach the finals of the UEFA Europa where the reds lost to Sevilla 3-1.

He used the players he found at Liverpool. During this transfer season he is looking forward to buying more players in preparation for next season's title challenge. Is this the season he is meant to prove that he can compete with the best or will his tactics make him be a flop? I foresee a very hard season for not him alone, but other teams too.Teams that Liverpool used to compete with and beat have invested much in hiring capable mangers as well as quality players. This means that competition will be very stiff in the 2016/2017 Premiere League season.

The question is,

Does Jurgen Klopp has what it takes to compete in the English Premiere League? Will he be able to match the tactics of the likes of Guardiola, Mourinho, Conte, Wenger, Ranieri, Pochetino and the rest? These are managers who have made it before. They have proven that they can compete for the title and win it.

The answer is in the waiting. Come next season and Jurgen Klopp will be tasked with proving himself as being among the best managers in the game. I will want to see if he will be able to take Liverpool back to its traditional place, the top four and qualify for the champions league.

Seoul are looking forward to topping the table due to the goal difference between them and Jeonbuk motors. In their previous five matches, they have only lost once, drawn once and won thrice. SERBIA vs RUSSIA

Serbia has recorded three consecutive wins having had lost two consecutive matches previously. A head to head preview of the two teams shows that Russia has dominated in their last three meetings, winning two home matches and drawing one. This time around Serbia are the hosts. They haven't lost at home in their previous two.

Verdict is that Serbia might win this match, with a small margin and the least could be a draw, due to their current form.

Wales on the other hand have lost thrice, won once and drawn once, collecting 4 out of the 15 available points. In their previous two meetings, Sweden won once and the other ended up as a draw.
