EURO 2016 REVIEW

EURO 2016 REVIEW

Yesterday was a surprise EURO 2016 day. The English and Spaniards are out. A record both teams scoring in six minutes registered too. Most people must had bet England and Spain to go through but the tides have so far changed. As I always say, numbers don't lie but football happens. We have underdogs in the quarters!

Antonio Conte is continuing to prove to the world that he is a master of football tactics. Yesterday his team showed that they have every right and chance to be in the EURO 2016 finals. It would be an honor for him to win the trophy for them before leaving for the English Premiere League. But before that, they have a tough quarter final to play. Iceland on the other hand are good! They pack the bus but get you on the counter. So far so good for them!

                                        Confirmed quarter finalists

                                            Wales              Belgium
                                             Poland           Germany
                                            Portugal          Italy
                                            France             Iceland

                                            Quarter final fixtures

                                              Poland vs Portugal
                                              Wales vs Belgium
                                              Germany vs Italy
                                               France vs Iceland

A look at the fixtures makes you to not want to wait for the D days. Will there be surprises? Yes of course. I can't wait to see who proceeds to the semi finals. Germany vs Italy looks competitive, seeing that the two had met prior to the competition, and Germany had a goals galore in the match! Since then though, Italy have improved and are knocking down giants! Portugal and Poland? Hard fixture too, whoever scores more will win! That's what I can say about the two because the match will be entertaining. Wales and Belgium will be something else! Maybe the most ignored so far, France vs Iceland will be the shocker. Despite having the home support and producing good results, close ones, France are showing signs of struggle! If they do not improve, they will be surprised by Iceland, who now have a vision of reaching the finals, and they have nothing to loose! They are patient and daring, they know they can do it but have no pressure! Let's wait and see what happens!

Euro updates available here as they happen, just as football does even though numbers don't lie.
